GET A DOSE OF CABIN FEVER WHEN YOU STAY AT THIS SERENE FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT CABIN NEAR THE WISCONSIN DELLS.
One of the few Frank Lloyd Wright homes that is available to rent, booking this one bedroom cabin in central isn’t easy (reservations are often booked a year out), or cheap, but it’s completely worth it. Serene, unpretentious…spending time in this work of art really gets to you, in a good way. There’s just something about the space—small but well laid out—that creates a sense of harmony that settles over you soon after you’ve settled in. If you’re a fan of Wright, or not, you’ll certainly leave understanding what all the fuss about America’s most famous architect is all about.

NATIONAL PARK SERVICE SITE FOR MAMMOTH CAVE
FORGET SUN, SURF AND SAND. HOW ABOUT DARK, MOIST AND BATS?
Okay, it’s not the world’s biggest ball of twine, but it certainly does have it’s off-beat cred as a vacation spot. And located in central Kentucky, it’s heavy on kitch factor as well (disclaimer: as someone born in Kentucky, I’m allowed to point out the state’s more colorful side). All kidding aside, Mammoth Cave is an amazing natural attraction that will wow kids and adults alike.

These cloth and grosbrain ribbon drawstring shoe bags are sized to fit your little one’s little kicks, and designed to fit your style. (i.e. They’ll fit right in with your Stella McCartney for LeSporsac roller bag.)
They’re fully lined for a longer life, and, if your child—unlike mine—manages to let you leave shoes on her for over 20 seconds, Shubi also doubles as a mini bag carryall for any of her gazillion other bébé accessories.

GET THE ENTIRE FAMILY INTO DOWNWARD DOG WITH THESE EXOTIC FAMILY YOGA RETREATS.
Most yoga getaways are strictly adults only, not so with World Family Yoga retreats. Held at various spectacularly scenic spots around the globe (often eco lodges), there’s lots of time for exploring, sight seeing or just family time as well as separate yoga classes for kids and adults. And if you think, “You’ve gotta be out of your tree pose if you think I can relax with the entire family around!”, fear not. In addition to the scheduled separate yoga classes, there’s also crafts and other kid-oriented activities for the young ones as well. And if you need babysitters, well, the owners can arrange that as well. So you can take the afternoon off to practice your savasana all afternoon if you want.

Sun Peaks Ski Resort, British Columbia, Canada
WWW.SUNPEAKSRESORT.COM
SLIGHTLY OFF-THE-BEATEN TRACK SKIING IN CANADA MEANS CONVENIENCE FOR FAMILIES. BEAUTIFUL SNOW, TONS OF CHOICES AND OH, THOSE NICE CANADIANS.
Amazing skiing—or golfing or mountain biking or spas—for you, tons for the little ones as well. Sun Peaks is a little smaller and less busy than the other big resorts, but that’s what’s so great. If you stay at any of the places in the village you probably won’t even need a car to reach the lifts, ski programs, restaurants, bars and pubs. You do have to leave the US to get there, but only to Canada. (They’re lots nicer up there anyways.)
