The Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach has a package deal currently offered that’s not just a luxury getaway, it’s also a way to help out the hotel’s neighboring sea lion population. With every booking of this package, the Portofino gives a portion of the price to the Marine Mammal Care Center’s sea lion rescue effort. The package includes overnight accommodations in an Ocean Side guest room, a Sir Barks A Lot stuffed sea lion (still checking on any relation to Sir Mix A Lot), complimentary pedal boat ride and disposable camera.The recently updated room is a little bit Shutters, a little bit Kelly Wearstler, but most of all, a great way to mix doing something nice for your family (I mean, reeeealllly nice) and something nice for the sea lions.
